1.4.19 – Unshakeable

“Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!” -Psalm 112:1

Those who fear the Lord and delight in His Word will be blessed and unmoved by the world. Even when the world strikes us down, “Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous” (Psalm 112:4). Psalm 112 tells us the righteous will never be shaken, and is not afraid of bad news. The righteous heart is steady and lives as light among the darkness.

God wants to bless His righteous children. The prophet Zechariah confirms some of the precepts we should live as children of God when we walk in His abundant blessings. “But now I am determined to bless Jerusalem and the people of Judah. So don’t be afraid. But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.” (Zechariah 8:15-17, NLT). These same precepts from Zechariah are affirmed throughout Psalm 112. I encourage you to read and hide Psalm 112 in your heart today. Let it give you steadfastness through the hills and valleys of this everyday life.

Enjoy the View,

Tracy D.
