1.1.19 – God Is Determined To Bless Us

A word of encouragement for walking into 2019.

“But now I am determined to bless Jerusalem and the people of Judah. So don’t be afraid.” – Zechariah 8:15

A trustworthy saying from the Old Testament which rings true to bless us today. God wants to bless us, He wants to prosper us. He does not want us walking around with our head down, defeated by the ruler of this world. When we are in Him, when we live our lives as the children of God we are, we can – and should – walk with our heads held high. We are a blessed and highly favored people. We are not to be downtrodden about our status. We can live with the mindset of “being blessed and highly favored” in our daily walk because the Lord burns with love and passion for us. All of us.

“Then another message came to me from the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: ‘This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: My love for Mount Zion is passionate and strong; I am consumed with passion for Jerusalem!'” –

Zechariah 8:1-2

The world will see are God’s anointed by the way we live our lives, by the instructions given to us throughout Scripture. We must be students of the Word, letting it govern all aspects of our lives as we seek for the world to know the blessings we intimately know and have. There are several signs the world will see, which follow us as we live the blessed and highly favored life. Living according to the God’s Word looks a lot different than life in the world.

“But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace. Don’t scheme against each other. Stop your love of telling lies that you swear are the truth. I hate all these things, says the Lord.” – Zechariah 8:16-17

If we do these things in love through our everyday lives, we will stand up and stand out among the crowds. Regular practices of this lifestyle goes against the majority of today’s fallen world. But we can make today’s minority tomorrow’s majority by practicing a life defined by love.

Live the blessed and highly favored life. Practice love in all you do. Allow yourself to stand up and stand out from the crowd, no matter the cost. Let’s make the minority of love the new majority as we live out the blessings of God and share with the rest of the world.

Enjoy the View,
